Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (our “Community Standards”) sets out what is and is not allowed on Splurge Bio. It applies to all creators and users of the platform. Violating these standards may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination.

1. Age Requirement

You must be 18 years of age or older to use Splurge Bio. We do not permit minors on the platform under any circumstances.

2. What Is Not Allowed

2.1 Adult and Sexually Explicit Content

Nudity, pornography, sexually explicit material, fetish content, and adult content of any kind are strictly prohibited. This applies to profile photos, link images, text, content blocks, and any linked external content.

2.2 Harassment and Abuse

We do not allow content that harasses, threatens, intimidates, or targets any individual or group. This includes:

• Targeted abuse or bullying of specific individuals
• Doxxing (sharing private information about others without consent)
• Encouraging others to harass someone
• Sending unwanted or threatening communications

2.3 Hate Speech and Discrimination

Content that promotes hatred, discrimination, or dehumanization based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic is prohibited.

2.4 Violence and Harmful Content

We do not allow content that:

• Glorifies, promotes, or incites violence against any person or group
• Depicts graphic violence or gore
• Promotes self-harm or suicide
• Encourages dangerous or illegal activities

2.5 Fraud and Deception

Splurge Bio must not be used to deceive or defraud fans or other users. This includes:

• Impersonating another person, creator, or brand
• Misrepresenting yourself or what fans will receive
• Running scams, fake giveaways, or fraudulent promotions
• Phishing links or malicious URLs

2.6 Intellectual Property Violations

Do not post content that infringes the copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights of others. Only share content you own or have the right to use.

2.7 Spam and Platform Manipulation

We do not allow:

• Spam or unsolicited promotional content
• Artificially inflating tips, clicks, or engagement
• Using bots or automated tools to manipulate platform metrics

2.8 Illegal Content and Activities

Content that violates any applicable law is prohibited. This includes content that facilitates the sale of illegal goods or services, money laundering, or any other illegal activity.

2.9 Fundraising for Causes

Splurge is a creator monetisation platform, not a fundraising or crowdfunding platform. Tips, gifts, and subscriptions are payments to a creator in connection with their own content and the items they list. You may not use Splurge to solicit or collect money for a cause, project, organisation, or third party, including:

• Medical, health, or personal emergency appeals
• Disaster relief, humanitarian, or emergency response appeals
• Memorial, funeral, or bereavement collections
• Community projects, construction, or civic improvement funds
• Education funds, scholarships, or tuition appeals
• Charitable or non-profit fundraising, whether or not the organisation is registered
• Political campaigns, parties, candidates, referendums, or ideological causes

Splurge has no fundraising goals, targets, deadlines, or progress tracking, and no payment on the platform is conditional on an amount being reached. Accounts used to run appeals of the kinds listed above will have payments disabled and may be terminated.

2.10 AI-Generated Content Creators

Splurge is for real people. Creators must be who they say they are, and accounts that exist to publish AI-generated output as a creator's own work are not permitted. You may not:

• Present AI-generated content as your own original work, or as another creator's
• Publish an AI-generated likeness, voice, or performance of a real person
• Use AI tools to operate more than one creator persona

Every creator is reviewed by a person before they can accept a payment, and this is one of the things that review checks.

2.11 Violent Extremism and Terrorism

Splurge does not allow violent extremist or terrorist organisations, or the people who support them, on the platform. This goes further than the general ban on violent content in section 2.4. You may not:

• Be, represent, or act on behalf of a terrorist, violent extremist, or violent hate organisation, including any person or group named on a sanctions or terrorist designation list of the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, or United Nations
• Engage in, encourage, promote, or celebrate unlawful violence or physical harm to people or property, including violence toward any group based on race, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, or any other immutable characteristic
• Praise, support, or promote violent extremist organisations, their leaders, or their members
• Recruit for, or encourage anyone to join or assist, such an organisation
• Raise, collect, or move money for such an organisation or its activities, directly or through a third party
• Share or link to violent extremist propaganda, manifestos, or footage of attacks, or content that celebrates their perpetrators
• Share instructions or material intended to help plan or carry out a violent attack
• Threaten or call for violence to advance a political, religious, or ideological goal

Accounts that break this section have payments disabled and are terminated immediately, without notice, and we report them to the relevant authorities.

3. Enforcement

Splurge Tech LLC monitors the platform and responds to reports of violations. We reserve the right to:

• Remove any content that violates these standards
• Suspend or permanently terminate accounts at our sole discretion
• Disable tipping on an account without closing the associated Stripe account
• Report illegal content or activity to relevant authorities

We give notice and a reason where we reasonably can, but we may act immediately and without notice where a violation is serious, involves illegal content, or presents a risk of harm or financial loss. If your account is terminated you may appeal by emailing support@splurge.bio within 30 days.

Terminated accounts forfeit any remaining Splurge Pass subscription days and any unpaid partner commissions. Termination does not affect payouts already earned on completed transactions, except in cases of fraud or platform abuse — see section 4.7 of the Terms of Service.

3.1 Repeat Infringers

We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe the copyrights or other intellectual property rights of others.

4. Reporting Violations

If you encounter content that violates these Community Standards, please report it at splurge.bio/legal/report-violation or contact us at support@splurge.bio. We review all reports and take appropriate action.

5. Updates

These Community Standards may be updated from time to time. We will notify users of material changes at least 30 days in advance.
